Chuck Knowles is a well-known local farrier and cowboy artist. Each painting tells a story of how he has spent his life with horses in the mountains, guiding for pack stations in the Emigrant Wilderness. He shod horses in Tuolumne County as his career and carries a Masters degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly. This exhibit is the life of a man who has told his stories through his paintings.

Every 1st Friday of the month, come join TCA at our makerspace to work on your personal projects. $10 per person will give access to our space, supplies, & equipment, and our resident artist Stacy Lindsey will be here to assist you as you work! The makerspace is FREE for TCA members! Please contact us to ask about group rates.
The 2024 Handmade Parade

WHERE: Rocca Park & Main St, Jamestown, CA
WHEN: 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Join us for an afternoon in Rocca Park making arts and crafts, listening to live music, hanging out with the community, catching this year's Trashion Fashion Shows, and maybe even learning some juggling or hula hoop tricks from our entertainers. Main St. will then be temporarily closed around dusk, and you can watch or participate in the Handmade Parade itself! Participants in the parade will have the opportunity to show off their custom creations or performances fitting our yearly theme (and will have a chance to win a FREE class with the Sonora School of Sewing)! Think costumes, giant puppets, dances, marching bands, and more! Don’t forget to stay after the parade for some mesmerizing performances as well!

Perspective Drawing Workshop

Join Tuolumne County Arts every 2nd Friday of the month for a FREE perspective drawing workshop with Ricardo Lazo. Attendees will have the option to vote between learning one-point or two-point perspective at the start of the workshop. Learn to accurately create the illusion of depth with beginner-friendly techniques. Participants will learn step by step how to utilize a vanishing point, horizon, and more!

The Works of Linda Blair will be on display at the Sonora Chamber of Commerce. This exhibition includes a series of 8 collages depicting events and emotions experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the depth of feeling portrayed in this show Linda hopes to encourage people to pause and reflect upon the messages portrayed in the works of art. This show will also be open late on Thursday, October 17 as a part of Ladies Night Out!

Every last Saturday of the month, swing on by TCA's REVAMP Creative Reuse Shop for our Saturday Sale Day. This August sale day will feature deals on yarn! This will also coincide with the annual Trick or Treat Street on Washington St. from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Come get your spooky treats and yarn!
