HELP Tuolumne County Arts to THRIVE!
PLEASE BECOME a DONOR MEMBER TODAY
Tuolumne County Arts has been in existence for almost 44 years. For at least ten years we were fortunate to have support from the Millie Wise Foundation, Tuolumne County and the California Arts Council and from donations/memberships from the community. Most people are probably not aware of this, but in 2017 the Millie Wise Foundation closed their family trust: ($42,000 yearly to TCA). The following year, Tuolumne County politics changed and any support from the county was curtailed. We were left running on fumes and hope!
TIME FOR TCA TO THRIVE
What does it mean to THRIVE?
#1. Collaboration. TCA sees themselves working in collaboration with other Arts & Cultural organizations such as the County Library, Parks & Recreation, Historical Museum, Tribes, Other identifiable ethnic organizations, Access Tuolumne, KAAD local public radio, SRT, Columbia College, State Park, Farms of Tuolumne, Visit Tuolumne County.
#2. Capacity. A strong organization with enough talented workers to do the work of being the conduit that brings arts and cultural content to this community.
#2 Dependable funding so a smaller portion of time is spent writing grants. Lifting us up out of a yearly survival struggle also allows for interaction and collaboration and re-granting between other arts & cultural organizations (as it should be), and benefits members of our community, the “base.”
We hope you will be with us in supporting a future that includes a local arts agency in Tuolumne County. We need your donations to repair our capacity so that going forward we can laser focus our efforts with other cultural institutions and cultural workers in developing and supporting ARTS AND CULTURAL TOURISM in Tuolumne County. With your support TCA will THRIVE.
